Antarctica 22 June: 6 hours of Sunshine
"Midnight Sun" at the Arctic Circle means there's sunshine 24 hours (all day & all night). So, at the bottom of the planet, the Antarctic Circle gets the opposite, 24 hours of night (darkness all day & night). Unfortunately, nature didn't cooperate.
south of Antarctic Circle: -68 degrees latitude (Antarctic Circle is -66 degrees), 22 June (Winter Solstice) sunrise: 11:00 am; sunset 17:00 pm. 6 hours of sunshine at the bottom of the planet. It's impossible on a globe. Not even the twin gods of science: Gravity & Refracted Light, can explain this one.
